Sensing Prototypes
Exploring Low-Cost Sensing Devices for Real-Time Indoor Environmental Monitoring
This section showcases a series of sensing prototypes developed as part of an ongoing effort to democratize access to indoor environmental monitoring. The prototypes feature modular low-cost components including temperature, humidity, CO₂, VOC, light, and particulate matter sensors, integrated with Arduino and Raspberry Pi systems. Each design explores unique housing, spatial deployment strategies, and IoT integration for real-time feedback and data analysis. These sensing devices serve as experimental tools for studying indoor air quality, human interaction with built environments, and post-occupancy evaluation.
